NFL announce Pittsburgh as the 2026 NFL Draft host

The pick is in for Pittsburgh. The 2026 draft is officially headed to the Steel City.


The NFL announced Wednesday at the Spring League Meeting in Nashville that Pittsburgh has been selected as the host city for the 2026 NFL Draft.


“We have a unique opportunity to spotlight this wonderful community on a global stage, benefiting Pittsburgh’s economy and entertaining football fans from all markets,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “We know this pride of Pennsylvania will shine bright in 2026.”


Pittsburgh will proudly join the list of the 10 NFL cities to have hosted the draft since it transformed into a highly coveted traveling event in 2015. The NFL draft has been held in Chicago, Philadelphia; Arlington, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Cleveland, Las Vegas; Kansas City, Missouri; and Detroit. The 2025 NFL Draft is set to unfold in Green Bay, Wisconsin. With a staggering 50 million viewers worldwide, the NFL Draft has become one of the year's most eagerly awaited sporting events. The 2024 draft witnessed a record-breaking fan turnout in Detroit, and the 2025 edition will be held in Green Bay before the league sets its sights on Pittsburgh in two years.


The 2024 draft attracted a record number of fans in Detroit, and the 2025 edition will take place in Green Bay before the league lands in Pittsburgh two years from now.
