Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb is entering the fifth and final year of his rookie contract. After coming off his best year in the league without an extension, it's unclear if he's attending offseason workouts with the team.
The Cowboys' offseason workouts are set to kick off in a week, and the anticipation is high. While next week's activities are voluntary, the question of whether wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will be present looms large. Speculations suggest he might miss voluntary workouts and may even hold out of mandatory work, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
Lamb is due $17.99 million in 2024 under the fifth-year option the team picked up in April 2023. He’s coming off his best season: He led the NFL with 135 catches and had career-highs in yards (1,749) and touchdowns (12).
Lamb’s next contract should reset the market at the wide receiver position, where he would surpass Tyreek Hill and the $30 million per year he makes in Miami. His value may never be higher than it is right now, and he plans to exercise his leverage to get the long-term contract he wants.
