Travis Kelce Turned Down Netflix's 'Receiver' Series

Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce revealed that Netflix approached him to appear in the documentary series 'Receiver,' although he turned down the opportunity.

During an interview on Bussin' with the Boys, Kelce mentioned that Netflix inquired about it following Patrick Mahomes' appearance on 'Quarterback.' "I just — I don't know. I'd rather just play ball, man. I'm already doing enough with the podcast and everything. I'm way over the reality s--t, dude. I'm out on that s--t."

Mahomes appeared in the Netflix documentary series 'Quarterback' with fellow quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota. The series provided an in-depth examination of each quarterback's journey during the 2022 NFL season.

'Receiver' will showcase five prominent receivers in the upcoming 2023 season, with Kelce being notably absent. The lineup features Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions. Additionally, San Francisco 49ers players George Kittle and Deebo Samuel will also be featured.

Kelce has some previous experience behind cameras outside the football field. The tight end co-hosts the New Heights podcast alongside his brother, the former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce, boasting 2.41 million subscribers on YouTube.
